Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center to Build Digital OR
ANDOVER, Mass. - Officials from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center have decided to team with Smith & Nephew Endoscopy to create 12 custom-designed, integrated endoscopic digital operating rooms.
Smith & Nephew will provide innovative medical technologies ranging from integrated equipment management solutions to centralized and voice control systems, and from medical imaging database applications to digital video telecommunication solutions. The project is set to begin this month.
Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center is an integrated healthcare system that operates 1,291 acute care, rehabilitation and long-term care beds, outpatient services and community health and information centers.
Smith & Nephew Endoscopy is a leader in development and commercialization of endoscopic techniques.
