Toronto Hospital Eliminates Waiting Room Magazines to Cut Down on Cross Contamination

Canada's CBC News is reporting that Toronto's Women's College Hospital is removing the magazines from its waiting rooms in an effort to help curb the spread of pathogens that may be harbored on the paper -- a surface that obviously cannot be cleaned but is handled by a significant number of people each day. It's a move that hospital leaders say is especially appropriate during influenza season.
