PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer Asks College Students to Show Off Their Best, Creative Handshake
GOJO Industries, Inc., the makers of PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer, is asking college students to show off their best handshake through the PURELL® University promotion, "Shake Your Way to $5K." This campaign, designed to drive awareness about the importance of hand hygiene, asks college students to create and record an up to 15-second video that highlights an original, creative handshake with up to five of their friends. A total of five $5,000 grand prizes* will be awarded.
To be eligible to enter, students must be 18 years of age or older (19 years old or older in Alabama and Nebraska), a legal resident of the United States and enrolled at an accredited university, college or technical institute.
Participants can submit their video at purell.com/targetbts now through Sept. 12, 2014, at 4 p.m. ET. Once all the videos have been submitted, a panel of judges will review the videos. Videos will be judged based on the following criteria:
•Relevance to the theme (45%)
•Originality/Creativity (30%)
•Video quality (25%)
A total of 10 finalists will be selected, and those videos will be up for public voting starting Sept. 18, 2014, at 10 a.m. ET on purell.com/targetbts. The winners will be announced on Oct. 13, 2014. Official rules and regulations are available on purell.com/targetbts.
"College students are often in contact with many people and hand hygiene at critical moments is crucial," says Lacha Noward, shopper marketing manager, PURELL Consumer. "This promotion helps to raise awareness about the importance of hand hygiene in a fun and memorable way that we hope leads to the habit of everyday hand hygiene."
*Each $5,000 prize will be divided equally among all participants in the video.
