Minnesota Seeks New Members to Help Set HIV Prevention Priorities
New volunteer members are being sought to fill current vacancies on the Community Cooperative Council on HIV/AIDS Prevention (CCCHAP).
The CCCHAP is an advisory body working with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) to help shape the priorities and direction of HIV prevention efforts throughout the state.
Applications for membership are accepted from all interested people. Those from communities of color, gay and bisexual men, HIV positive individuals, and residents of greater Minnesota are particularly encouraged to apply. Approved members will serve a two-year term beginning in December 2004.
People interested in serving on the CCCHAP are encouraged to get an application form by calling Girard Griggs, MDH, at (612) 676-5572 or visit the CCCHAP Web site. Only applications submitted by Sept. 20, 2004 will be considered for the current vacancies on the CCCHAP.
