Medline Launches Signature Glide Surgical Glove
Medline Industries, Inc. has launched the newest addition to its latex, powder-free surgical glove line, Signature Glide. This new glove features an inner gel coating made from a hydrophilic synthetic polymer that allows surgeons hands to glide effortlessly into the glove wet or dry.
Medline introduced Signature Glide in New Orleans at the 59th Annual Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Congress, held last week. Signature Glide joins Medlines comprehensive line of latex and latex-free surgical gloves, which are made on an anatomical former design to replicate the natural hand shape. All Medline surgical gloves exceed FDA testing requirements, including thorough inspections for pinholes, tears, tensile strength and elongation.
Signature Glide comes in a translucent color, which according to AORN recommendations for double-gloving, provides excellent contrast to detect tears and pinholes. The new gloves exterior finish provides exceptional control and tactile sensitivity ideal for use in variety of procedures. With a slightly widened palm designed to reduce hand fatigue, Signature Glide also features a reinforced cuff to reduce roll down and tearing.
Medline believes that user insight is of highest priority when providing a product with premium features and exceptional design, says Paul Bottcher, president of Medlines surgical gloves division. Signature Glide provides the quality, strength and performance surgeons and staff expect out of their surgical gloves.
