HyGreen Collaborates with Hospitals to Develop Ebola Preparedness Plans
HyGreen announces that it has begun collaborating with healthcare professionals in the development of their institutions' Ebola preparedness plans and are incorporating HyGreen® Hand Hygiene Recording and Reminding System technology.
It is noteworthy that enveloped viruses are highly susceptible to good hand hygiene, hydrogen peroxide vapor and commonly used cleaning agents.
The HyGreen® Hand Hygiene Reminding System combines RF technology and proximity sensors through its advanced IT platform to provide sophisticated outcomes data. This data has shown a direct correlation to reductions in nosocomial infections and is a critical element to Ebola Preparedness Plans.
In addition, HyGreen® can provide a unique hybrid approach by incorporating HyGreen® technology and hospital protocol development leveraging the synergistic advantages of technology and a well-written policy. Many institutions are now developing hybrid plans that incorporate both HyGreen® and revised Ebola policy into their new infection control plans.
The HyGreen system was designed to reflect guidelines from leading industry experts, including the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Joint Commission.
