ECRI Releases New Report
Help is Available to Sort Through Needlestick Prevention Products
PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA-ECRI has published Health Devices Needlestick-Prevention Device Selection Guide, a special report designed to help healthcare facilities wade through the multitude of products available to reduce the risk of needlestick injuries. A nonprofit international health service research organization, ECRI supplies information and consulting services to the healthcare community to support safe and cost-effective patient care. Their special report features comparative evaluations for over 45 needlestick-prevention devices in 11 different device categories. Each evaluation includes supplier and cost information, product descriptions, and ECRI testing results. In addition, the report includes regulatory updates, selection and use guidance, and worksheets to help healthcare facilities comply with safer needle regulations.
