CBSPD Certification Examinations Receive Full Accreditation

The board of directors of the Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD) announces that the Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor and Management certifications examinations have received full accreditation from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies until Oct. 31, 2020.

This accreditation validates the processes implemented by the CBSPD in 1988 when the organization was formed and are followed to this day. The CBSPD board also commends the CBSPD staff and Seacrest Company who prepared the accreditations applications. Many individuals have provided the expertise to maintain the high quality, secure certifications programs. These individuals include the members of the CBSPD Item Review Committee and the CBSPD Continuing Education Committee, among others.

The CBSPD offers five certification programs: Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician, Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist, Certified in Sterile Processing Management, Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician and Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor.
