Cardinal Health Signs Distribution Agreement to Provide Premier Customers with Presource IV Site Management Kits

DUBLIN, Ohio -- Cardinal Health, a global provider of products and services that improve the safety and productivity of healthcare, announces a three-year dual source agreement to provide Presource® IV site management kits to the 1,700 hospitals and more than 48,500 additional healthcare sites served by Premier, one of the largest group purchasing organizations in the United States.

Under the agreement, which is effective Dec. 1, Cardinal Health will supply Premier customers with Presource® IV site management kits including IV start kits, central line insertion packs and central line dressing change kits. By utilizing standardized configurations of the basic components necessary to perform various IV site management procedures, these kits help healthcare providers deliver a consistent standard of care to patients.

Preventing infections and improving efficiency are key concerns of health-care providers, nationwide, said Steve Inacker, president of Cardinal Healths Presource® Products and Services business.
