Calendar of Upcoming Medical Conferences
There are a variety of medical conferences taking place nationally during the next several months. Some of the larger gatherings include the (AORN) 48th Annual Congress, taking place March 11-15 in Dallas, Tex. The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) will be meeting in Toronto, Canada, for their April 1-3 annual scientific meeting. This conference includes several workshops including information on antimicrobial management and isolation strategies. For more information: www.shea-online.org.
Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School are hosting an Infections Diseases of Adults 2001 Conference in Cambridge, Mass. The course will take place April 22-27. Lectures scheduled vary from Osteomyelitis and Prosthetic Joint Infections to Bacterial Gastroenteritis. For more information: www.cme.hms.Harvard.edu.
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) will be hosting its annual educational conference and international meeting June 10-14 in Seattle, Wash. The conference themes will be interventional epidemiology, application of information technology and application of the practices to multiple healthcare settings. For more information: www.apic.org.
