ASP Hosts Second Webinar in Series on Transitioning from the STERIS System 1
The second informational webinar in a series on the transition from the STERIS System 1 hosted by Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET.
The Webinar features the following topics and speakers:
-- Advice from an OR team managing the transition now: June Wyrwas, RN, director of perioperative services at Capital Health and Michelle Santello-Hunt, RN, manager of the operating room at Mercer Medical Center
-- Advice about medical device compatibility during transition: Jason Singer, supervisor for technical services, and Howard Klymas, director of marketing for gynecology and urology at KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc.
Q&A and informational sessions will be led by Barbara Trattler, RN, MPA, CNOR, CNA, director of clinical education for ASP and Jay Houser, worldwide director of the medical device manufacturer program commercial for ASP.
To help sort through information about changing sterilization and high-level disinfection processes following the recent FDA announcements about the STERIS System 1® (SS1) and the STERIS System 1E™. Operating room nurses and medical device company representatives provide real-world advice and best practices to help manage the transition.
