The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) will hold their Annual Educational and International Meeting in Minneapolis, Minn, June 18-22, 2000, at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
The conference topics are designed to aid infection control programs to excel in the new century. Sessions will be organized into categories to include outcomes and benchmarking, alternative healthcare settings, environmental hazards, antimicrobial resistance, infectious disease update, and new strategies for prevention of infections.
In addition, pre-conference and post-conference sessions will be offered. The pre-conference session on June 16 will be a Certification Review Course. The post-conference topic is asepsis, sterilization, and disinfection hosted by William Rutala, PhD.
