AORN Offers Grants to Attend 2005 Congress
DENVER -- The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Foundation is offering grants for nursing students, staff nurses, and OR managers to attend AORN's 52nd annual Congress in New Orleans. Funding for these grants is made possible by generous donations from the sources below. The AORN Foundation and its Board of Trustees would like to express our gratitude to these companies and organizations for their continued support of perioperative nursing. 2004 Congress grant winners are ineligible to apply for these grants.
The Certification Board Perioperative Nursing (CBPN), through the AORN Foundation, is offering Congress grants to nurses who hold the CNOR or CRNFA credential and will be attending the 2005 Congress in New Orleans. CBPN will be distributing $415 each to eight nurses to defray Congress expenses.
The AORN Exhibitors' Advisory Committee (EAC) is pleased to be supporting AORN members by providing grants to help defray the cost of attending the 2005 AORN Congress. OR managers and staff nurses who are AORN members, along with nursing students who are in their perioperative rotation at a surgical facility, are eligible to apply for these grants. EAC grants in the amount of $500 will be available to 45 OR managers, 45 staff nurses, and 10 nursing students. The deadline to apply is Feb. 4, 2005. Winners will be notified by Feb. 11, 2005. Grant winners will pick up their checks at the Foundation booth during Congress.
